OmicSoft Land Explorer: Making disease-relevant data accessible to biologists
2,460 views
Genetic diseases have a substantial impact on the world's population. For many diseases there is very little information available and, if published, searching for all the relevant information, like which genes are the key players and how does gene expression change in other tissues or in other disease models, is both time consuming and frustrating. What if you could find this and compare your gene expression dataset to other published studies with just a few clicks?
Gain an in-depth look at the latest bioinformatics solution from QIAGEN – OmicSoft Land Explorer. OmicSoft has curated over 400,000 (and growing!) Oncology- and Disease-focused ‘Omic samples (i.e. RNA-seq, microarray, CNV, etc.) from the public domain. Each sample and dataset is carefully re-processed to provide answers to your most pressing research questions, such as those above. Land Explorer is the new web-based portal to OmicSoft’s disease-focused content, and is the simplest way to interactively explore these valuable data sets.
In this webinar, you will learn how to:
· Explore, with ease, the expression data of genes across tissues
· Discover how genes are regulated in diseases and respond to drug treatments and gene mutations
With OmicSoft Land Explorer you can get answers about how PTEN mutations affect survival of cancer patients, how BRAF mutation status affects FGF2 expression, and what diseases have an overexpression phenotype of SERPINB7. There is no need for you to have bioinformatics skills or knowledge to compare your results with relevant studies. You will learn how to strengthen your results through statistically-valid comparisons with published literature for your next publication or grant by exploring the ever-growing collection of data in the Land Explorer!
Users of IPA’s Analysis Match or IsoProfiler may recognize some of the OmicSoft-generated content shown in this webinar. Land Explorer provides direct access to the underlying data and visualizations to accelerate your research. Come see the newest product on offer from OmicSoft.
