With emphasis on outbreak prevention and control, this webinar walks investigators through the use of QIAGEN bioinformatics for typing, source tracking, and other analysis tasks commonly carried out during an outbreak investigation.

Whole genome sequencing via next generation sequencing (NGS) is becoming a standard for enhanced surveillance and outbreak detection of common pathogens. CLC Microbial Genomics Module (part of QIAGEN’s Microbial Genomics Pro Suite) provides functionality for molecular typing and epidemiological analysis of bacterial isolates. Preconfigured but customizable example workflows take care of the computational analysis of NGS data allowing the user to focus on the interpretation of pathogen typing or outbreak analysis results.
